About Our Farm
Welcome to Rose n’ Thistle Farm—a small, family-run homestead rooted in faith, simplicity, and the beauty of slow, intentional living. Tucked away in the Indiana countryside, we spend our days raising our children close to the land, tending animals, and working with our hands. We believe deeply in the goodness of God’s design, and our farm reflects that—from the food we grow to the way we live.
What began as a backyard homestead has grown into something more—a budding micro dairy, a small-batch family farm store, and a place where others can reconnect with where their food comes from. We offer raw milk from our beloved Jersey cows, pasture-raised meats, farm-fresh eggs, seasonal flowers, and produce—each one carefully raised with integrity and a commitment to health. We hope to be a trustworthy source of nourishment for families who value clean food, hard work, and the goodness of creation.
Alongside the rhythms of farm life, we also raise Golden Retrievers with the same heart. Our puppies are born and raised right in our home, socialized with our children, and nurtured in a family-first environment that sets the foundation for lifelong companionship. Whether you're stopping by for milk or a puppy cuddle, we’re so glad you’re here—and we pray you’ll feel the peace, purpose, and joy that define life on our little farm.

Forrest Raised Heritage Pork
Our heritage breed pigs are pasture-raised or forrest raised, with natural feed and plenty of fresh air, ensuring flavorful, tender pork raised the old-fashioned way—honestly and sustainably.
We’ve been a part of Rose n’ Thistle raw milk herd share program for years now and to say it’s been a delightful experience would be and understatement. We’ve not only been thrilled with the quality of milk and the long-lasting freshness, but the amazing process in dealing with the Halberts directly! Most certainly recommend!
